The Metabolism Plan – Day 7

Below 96.5: Likely to exhibit hypothyroid symptoms, such as lethargy, depression, constipation, and weight gain.

Test Exercise: Yoga (it is the West Coast after all)

This morning I slept in, which was glorious, and went about my normal routine of taking my temperature and weighing myself. My temperature was a little lower than yesterday at 97.6 and I was down 0.7 lb, which means lamb is a non-reactive food for me. Yay! Another protein I can rotate in the future.

Before I started my running around I enjoyed some flax granola and pear with coconut milk accompanied by a delicious Nespresso coffee. Natch.

Lunch was leftover roasted veggies from the night before with almonds and cream of broccoli soup. I love how this meal plan utilizes leftovers for every lunch meal so I end up cooking less overall. Who doesn’t like less work?

I feel like I am getting into the groove of my food prep and weighing portions now and have gotten into the habit of looking ahead to see what I can make in advance so that I am never left scrambling. Scrambling = bad food choices for me.

Despite feeling much more energetic these past couple of days I was decadent and had a nap with my hubs in the afternoon.

I’m not sure I feel any dramatic shifts yet in the pain in my jaw but I definitely feel like I am on the right track.

We had a family dinner tonight and it was the first time I would be eating out since starting the Plan a week ago. I prepared my dinner of chicken, baby romaine, sauteed veg and shredded beets and took it along. All was well and I didn’t feel deprived despite my Argentinian family enjoying a delicious dinner of pulled pork and chorizo. I can’t stress enough that the key to success with the Metabolism Plan so far has been preparation.

Today’s test was exercise and while I could have repeated Thursdays body weight exercises I wanted to test something different so that I can build up a variety of activities to rotate in the future.

Tonight was Yoga with Adriene for twelve minutes and it felt awesome.

Tomorrow is a crazy busy day but I plan on setting aside some food prep time so that I am ready for the week.
